We’ll Be Back!

To all our Language Link friends of many years,

It’s quite a different world because of the worldwide Covid 19 pandemic. We sincerely hope that all of you and your families are well and continue to be so.  Most of our programs cannot be offered at this time because of travel restrictions and health concerns, and almost all our partner schools are temporarily closed and are suffering under the current conditions.  Some have closed permanently.  It is difficult to predict available dates and fees until travel can resume, and your safety and health are our greatest concerns. Neither can we announce any Spanish On The Road trips until tourism is fully open in our various destinations, but we’re gathering information so that when the time is right we will have amazing trips to announce.

We’ll be back!  That’s a promise from Language Link.  And won’t we all be ready!  Many of you have reached out to us just to keep in touch during this difficult time, and that has warmed our hearts.  We know how important your Language Link experiences have been in your lives.  We can’t let it end here.

So here’s what we’ve been doing.  Our office will be closed from December 18 until January 4, 2021.  In that time we will be launching a new simplified website to better serve you.  On the new site at www.langlink.com   (same name as our old site), you can use our easy Contact Us form or in the meantime, write to info@langlink.com with an indication of where you would like to study in an immersion program. For this request we need to know your country of departure, as some entry restrictions may still apply.  If you want to participate in an On The Road trip, send us your destination of choice.  We will send you the earliest possible information, sometimes even before it is posted on the new site.

And just for entertainment while you’re homebound, we recommend The Taco Chronicles available on Netflix.  Reviewing the wide varieties of tacos in Mexico, it includes many different regions with interviews in Spanish.  It has English subtitles, and it’s great practice with a variety of speakers and lots of slang vocabulary.  What we liked most is the passion, warmth and pride which the cooks exhibit.  They honor all the old traditions, and the way in which they describe their food is quite poetic and beautiful…many times quite funny, too!
