After decades of connecting people, cultures, and opportunities, the time has come for us to retire and close Language Link.

This decision comes with mixed emotions, but above all, with gratitude.

When Language Link began, we could never have imagined the incredible journey that lay ahead. Over the years, we have had the privilege of welcoming students from around the world, partnering with outstanding schools and organizations, and working alongside dedicated host families, educators, and friends who believed in the power of cultural exchange.

Language Link has always been about more than learning a language. It has been about building friendships, opening minds, and creating life-changing experiences. In fact, one of those experiences changed our own lives forever. Kay Godfrey met her husband, Bob, on a Language Link trip, a beautiful reminder that the connections made through cultural exchange can last a lifetime.

We have watched lifelong friendships begin, confidence grow, and countless memories unfold across languages, countries, and cultures. Every student, family, teacher, and partner became part of the Language Link story, and each of you helped shape the company into something far greater than we ever envisioned.

As we close this chapter, we do so with immense pride in what we built together and with heartfelt appreciation for everyone who trusted us along the way. The experiences we’ve shared and the relationships we’ve formed will remain with us always.

Although Language Link is retiring, the friendships, memories, and spirit of curiosity and cultural understanding it fostered will continue. We hope every student who traveled with us carries a small piece of that spirit into the future, just as we will.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. It has truly been one of the greatest privileges of our lives.
