ECELA
ECELA (Escuela y Centro de Español en Latino América) is a Spanish language school that was founded in Santiago, Chile in 1999. The school is located in Providencia, one of the best neighborhoods in Santiago, Chile. The Spanish school is close to parks, restaurants, bars, museums, and clubs.
ECELA is the only Spanish language school in Chile to receive the IALC membership (International Association of Language Centres), which ensures an internationally qualified education. IALC requires that the language schools are inspected and evaluated to assure that the quality of education remains superior. All the instructors at the Spanish school in Santiago, Chile, are university educated and have experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
The school's facilities are designed to make you feel at home while learning Spanish. The school building has numerous classrooms, wireless internet and computers, library, and a large patio. During the class break students are served fruit, cereal, bread and marmalade.

Activities

ECELA offers you the opportunity to complete your Spanish study with many activities and excursions. Each student receives a free welcome orientation lunch and tour of Santiago. Students may also attend a Friday afternoon farewell lunch.
Activities are also arranged nearly everyday in which the students can participate. Some of these activities are educational, such as Spanish videos, conversational clubs, or seminars with a guest speaker. There are also salsa classes and cultural outings that are offered at a minimal fee.
Three weekend excursions (of one to three days) a month are offered by the school. These excursions are at additional cost and include: a beach trip to Viña del Mar y Valparaíso (full weekend, approx. $60), rafting in the Andes (full day, approx $45), horseback riding (full day, approx $45), hiking plus a visit to the hotsprings (full day, approx $25), and a wineries tour plus lunch (full day, approx $20).
