Eureka School of Spanish Language is one of Madrid’s most personalized Spanish language schools.  It is a smaller school which consistently is rated very highly by our students. It is unique in that its only objective is teaching Spanish and no other language.  Since 1988
thousands of students have enjoyed its relaxed and friend atmosphere.
 
The school has an excellent team of professionals who will teach you Spanish by immersing you in the Spanish culture. The school is located in a 150 year old building on a floor which has been refurbished and renovated especially for the school. It is quite near the heart of Madrid, La Puerta del Sol. It is a small, welcoming school with a diverse international mix of students. You will enjoy the personal attention and creative approach to teaching, all the while enjoying the excitement of Madrid.  All the audio-visually equipped classrooms are renovated, air conditioned, and insulated to avoid noise from the street. There is daily internet availability. The teaching staff is composed of teachers certified in subjects such as Classical Spanish, Spanish Language, and Art and Literature. All teachers have been carefully chosen and trained to use Eureka’s exclusive method in order to ensure the greatest success.  It is a young and dynamic team, well formed to obtain the best of each participant.  The school is fully accredited by the Cervantes Institute, a benchmark of quality for schools in Spain.

Style of teaching – Eureka’s method is based on direct contact between teacher and student, and on establishing a relaxed atmosphere so that learning comes naturally and is reinforced through practice and communication. The educational system combines the structural method with the communicative method in order to achieve a rapid and effective learning. This method has been developed by the school using and creating its own materials in the course of many years of experience. 

Calendar – The school is open year round, and you can begin classes on any Monday for any number of weeks.  If you are an absolute beginner, you must start on official dates.

Holidays – no classes held or discounted tuition.  If you attend for only two weeks, and a holiday falls within that period, you will be compensated with extra class hours.

National holidays 2017  - January 2, 6; April 13, 14;  May 1, 2, 15; August  15;  October 12; November 1, 9; December  6. 8, 25.

Start dates for beginners 2017 – January 9, 23; February 6, 20;  March 6, 20;  April 3, 17;  May 8, 22; June 5, 19; July 3, 17; August 7, 21; September 4, 18; October 2, 16; November 6, 20;  December 11.

Non-beginners can start classes any Monday.

About Madrid

To experience Madrid is to explore its eateries, have tapas and a drink at one of its countless bars or to be swept up in the nocturnal madness of its music scene and clubs.The variety of neighborhoods will introduce you to the city’s finest resource – its people and their electricity, whether at play in bars or at work in finance or the media and film industries.  It is a fascinating place to discover.

Levels offered – All levels of Spanish ability, from absolute beginners to advanced, are accommodated.  You will be given a placement test to determine your level.

Class size and hours – Maximum of 8 students per class.  This is a smaller size than typically done in programs in Spain.  Classes begin at 9 am.

Materials – Included in your course fees.

Academic Credit – Available for this program.

Students - Minimum age is 18 except by special permission.  There is a variety of ages in the classes, and students come from several countries.

Activities - Students can participate in a program of activities and excursions during non-class time. The objective of this program is to provide students with more extensive knowledge of Spain, its culture, art, and history.  These are guided by specially trained school staff, and they are excellent!  Two twice weekly excursions are offered, and one of them is free!  The others may be paid for at the school.  These include among others:  Tour of Old Madrid, Palacio Real, Museo del Prado, Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Panteón de Goya, El Rastro Market, El Planetario, Museo Sorolla.

Every other weekend full day excursions are offered to important cities such as Segovia, Toledo, Ávila and La Granja.  These are available for reasonable fees.
